The red panda (scientific name: Ailurus fulgens) looks like a cat, but is larger than a cat and has a reddish-brown body. Round face with short kisses and white markings on cheeks. The ears are large and stand straight forward. Limbs are short and dark brown. The tail is long, thick and fluffy, and has 12 red and dark ring patterns; the tail tip is dark brown. Lameness; 5 toes on both front and back; asexual type II. The skull is tall and round; the auditory vesicles are relatively flat; the posterior orbital process is incompletely developed or absent; the sagittal condyle is low; the winged disc bone is high; shape.
